Natalie the ballerina/tap dancer

Natalie had such a good time at dance class on Tuesday! We got there a little late, so the other little girls were all lined up already. I walked Madisyn and Natalie upstairs to the dance studio, which was right above the waiting area. They were very hesitant at first, but the teacher's assistant took them over to the little cubby area to put away their shoes. I snuck back out the door and went downstairs where they have a television set up so you can watch. Once I was gone, the girls started getting into it. They did tap first, jumping up and down, shuffle kicks, etc. It sounded like thunder since we were right underneath. Then they marched around playing instruments. There were only about 7 girls total in the class, so it wasn't overwhelming at all. There were other smaller kids in the waiting room, and even another mom who nursed her baby there! I guess I won't have to feel nervous about feeding Milo there. Milo had fun playing with the new toys, but I had to keep him away from the older boys(by older, I mean a little over 1), since I couldn't trust their moms to keep them from being rough with Milo. But we brought over a little beads-on-a-wire toy and he played happily.

After the tap, they changed the girls into their ballet shoes and they practiced a few ballet moves. When they were done, the teacher and her assistant brought the girls downstairs and Natalie ran over to me with the biggest smile on her face. "I was dancing!" she said. She was so proud of herself and I was too. I signed up for the month of October(4 classes), and if she continues to do well, we'll definitely keep up with it. After the class, we went to lunch at a burger joint just down the street. It was very yummy, though Natalie spilled ketchup on her leotard. It's okay though, I think it will come out.

I didin't get to take any pictures of her dancing, since we were downstairs in another room. Next week is parent observation, so I'll try to get some pics then. I did get some of Natalie and Madisyn in their outfits. We bought them together, so they matched perfectly. The teacher thought they were twins. LoL However, the computer is broken right now, so all I have is the one I managed to upload before we left. The others will have to wait a few days until we can get the computer fixed.

Here's the two girls running in their outfits on our front porch. :o)

How freakin' cute is that! Must see more pics.

I can't wait to put Brooke in dance. I could now, but I'm trying to hold off until she can take class without it being a "mommey and me" class.
