Old Blog Entry 12-11-05

We've just about conquered this sleeping thing!

Tonight Natalie went down with hardly any fuss. We rocked her for one song, and then I brought her to her crib and she was pretty awake. She whined a little when we entered the room, and let out one cry when I went to lay her down and that was it. She didn't even stand up on the side of the crib, which she usually does automatically. It takes her a while to fall asleep though, and if I get up or make any kind of noise, her little head pops right up. When I finally did get up to leave, she saw me and she cried when I shut the door. But it was just one cry and she was quiet again. I am so proud of her, but it still really hurts to leave her alone in there. I wish I could rock her to sleep every night for the rest of her life.

Well, I am off to bed myself. It's been a long weekend, and I have a whole week of errands to run tomorrow.
