09/05/06 - Arnel!

Natalie has started mimicing everything we say, and the latest is "Arnel!" She knows who Arnel is, and if you say who is Arnel, she will say Daddy. This last weekend, whenever Arnel would go out to the garage, she would run around the house shouting, "Arnel!" It's so funny. She knows my name too. If you ask her who Amanda is, she will point to me and say "Manna" which is also her word for banana. LoL Natalie also knows what the phrase "right back" means, and is usually better about one of us leaving when we tell her we will be right back. However we still hear a lot of "No right back!" when she doesn't want us to leave. She also never wants to take a nap, and will say "No nap" when we carry her upstairs. Of course by then she is tired enough that she doesn't complain when we lay her down. She LOVES to pretend nap though. She will go in the guestroom and climb on the bed and pretend to sleep. She even pretends to snore. She'll lay down for about 5 seconds and then just pops back up and laughs. I lay in there with her, and if I pretend to sleep, she will holler, "Heek up Mommy!" which means "wake up Mommy" I open my eyes and smile at her and she just laughs and laughs. It's great fun. She also knows what freckles are. She has one on her right hand, right below her index finger knuckle. She calls them "sheegoos" and likes to point out the bigger ones on my arms. If you ask her where hers is, she will find it on her hand.
